Based upon responses from my friends at the Cuisine at Home forum, I have set up just a single forum.  Let me know if you would prefer multiple fora, and what other fora you would like to see.

Likewise, let me know if you have any suggestions for the recipe database, especially in terms of functionality, categories and divisions, and layout.  Since I'm still not sure which software I will use, and how much I will customise it, there are no guarantees that any requested features will be implemented, but I will do what I can to make this site as useful as possible.

Please use this thread to offer and discuss your suggestions.

Thanks!

Single forum allows for more interaction.  But eventually you will need to break them out for category filing.  Simple enough in an SMF php board.

Thanks for taking the time to set it up.

That's what I was thinking.  As you said, SMF makes it easy.  At first, I had considered phpBB, but a number of other people I know kept crowing about how much they loved SMF versus phpBB.  So far, I would have to say I agree with them wholeheartedly.

Thanks for your comments, Bob.

Something I have not seen on other forums is a section on Gulf Coast/ Caribbean Rim cooking--great things and great fusion goes on there.

Great idea!

For now, I'm still staying with a single forum, but that sounds like a good category for me to include in the recipe database later on.  Still working on that.

Thanks!
